TotalEnergies SE (TTE) has initiated construction on the last two major components of its $10 billion Gas Growth Integrated Project (GGIP) in Iraq, focusing on a seawater supply project and the development of the Ratawi oil field. Set to replace freshwater with treated seawater for oilfield operations, this project aims to enhance agricultural water availability and significantly boost oil production by 2028. Additionally, associated gas will be captured to generate 1.5 GW of electricity for over a million households.
