An explosion occurred at a traditional market on Minsheng Road, Daxi District, Taoyuan City on June 22, 2024, injuring a father and son who sell pork floss. Surveillance footage revealed that while a gas stove connected to a gas tank was cooking pork floss, a female customer accidentally hooked onto a canvas as she rode away on a motorcycle, subsequently knocking over the gas tank. This caused a gas leak which ignited, leading to the injuries of the vendors. Fortunately, emergency services arrived promptly, extinguished the fire, and sent the two injured individuals to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the incident.
