A tragic car-motorcycle accident occurred at the intersection of Yujing Road and Yuxiao Road in Tainan City's East District in the morning of June 27, 2024. A 57-year-old man surnamed Chen riding a motorcycle from east to west on Yujing Road was hit by a white sedan traveling from north to south on Yuxiao Road. Chen lost control, fell, and tragically got caught under a parked sedan. Despite immediate rescue efforts by Tainan City Fire Department, Chen had no vital signs. The driver of the sedan, surnamed Wang, tested negative for alcohol, ruling out drunk driving. Police will further investigate the accident's cause and assign responsibility. Drivers are reminded to strictly follow traffic rules and stay alert for road safety in urban areas.
