A tragic incident occurred during a swimming lesson at a middle school in Kochi City, Japan, where a fourth-grade boy accidentally drowned. The local education commission announced the establishment of a third-party investigation committee to determine the cause of the accident. The incident occurred on July 5th around 11 am when the boy drowned while practicing swimming. The equipment failure in his elementary school's swimming pool led to the lesson being moved to the deeper pool of the middle school, where the boy, being shorter in stature, faced difficulties. The education commission is investigating to clarify responsibility for the unfortunate incident.
