A fire broke out in an apartment on Zhongshan Road, Sanmin District, Kaohsiung, where two young sisters were suspected of playing with a lighter at home, causing the tragedy. While one grandmother managed to escape with one granddaughter, the other 2-year-old granddaughter was found dead. The girls' father, upon hearing the devastating news of his daughter's death, broke down in tears. The cause of the fire is still under investigation as the family mourns the loss of their loved one.
