Wu Mengting, a high school student from Panshi High School in Hsinchu who gained attention after appearing on the variety show 'The Highlight' last year, tragically passed away on June 29, 2024. She was involved in a motorcycle accident while heading to the inspection station for practice on June 17. Her family confirmed her passing and asked for prayers, with even show host Jacky Wu expressing his sorrow upon hearing the news. Despite their grief, her family thanked everyone for their prayers, believing that she is now a beautiful angel in another world and asking for others not to worry about them.
