Trea Turner experienced soreness and stiffness following increased running intensity, prompting the Phillies to give him a couple of days of rest. Although it's the first time he's felt this since rehabbing a hamstring strain, manager Rob Thomson assured there's no major concern. The team plans to proceed cautiously with Turner, who had been hitting .343 before the injury, as Edmundo Sosa has filled in effectively with a .354 average. The Phillies are 17-4 since Turner's injury, with Sosa playing a significant role.
