TSMC Adjusts Q1 Revenue Forecast Due to January Earthquake

Reported 1 day ago

TSMC announced that its first-quarter revenue is expected to be closer to the lower end of its guidance due to a $161 million impact from a January earthquake in southern Taiwan. The company estimated losses around NT$5.3 billion, mainly from the scrapping of semiconductor wafers. Despite the setback, there was no structural damage to production facilities, and normal operations have resumed, with no changes to the full-year outlook.
