TSMC's Charity Efforts Bring Relief to 0403 Earthquake Victims in Hualien

Reported about 1 year ago

On June 7, 2024, the TSMC Charity Foundation collaborated with Hualien City Government to establish a post-earthquake office to help non-Red Cross affected residents repair their homes after the 0403 earthquake. After two months of work, repairs were completed, and the Mayor of Hualien, along with TSMC volunteers, witnessed the gratitude of the residents as they expressed relief at the restored homes. TSMC has taken on the repair of 455 cases, with 53 under construction and 389 completed. The collaboration with four construction partners has involved over 3,000 workers to expedite the restoration. The Mayor expressed gratitude to TSMC and hoped for future visits not due to disasters but for tourism. TSMC also thanked Hualien City for the support. Their assistance will end on June 12, welcoming vulnerable individuals in need to register for home repairs.
