On June 19, Taiwan's stock market opened slightly higher, nearing the 23300-point milestone, with a high point of 23294.47 points. The U.S. stock market was closed on Wednesday for 'Juneteenth' and will resume trading on Thursday. Foreign investors have recently raised their target prices for TSMC to between 1080 and 1150 NT dollars. Despite TSMC's dip in early trading to 971 NT dollars from a high of 981 NT dollars, the company's market value has reached 25.36 trillion NT dollars. Hon Hai and Quanta stocks surged, with Hon Hai hitting a near record high of 208 NT dollars and Quanta rising 3.5% to 329 NT dollars. Meanwhile, MediaTek dropped slightly by 1% to 1470 NT dollars. Overall, the industrial sector saw small gains, while the food, automobile, and tourism industries experienced slight declines. In the electronic sector, various segments showed gains, except for semiconductors which saw a slight decrease, and the financial sector also experienced a minor dip of 0.09%.
