Reported 7 months ago

In addition to the United States and Japan, TSMC (2330) will set up a plant in Germany in the second half of 2024, marking a momentum for the semiconductor supply chain. SEMI's Global Chief Marketing Officer and Taiwan Regional President, Cao Shilun, stated that as TSMC gradually establishes itself internationally, the Taiwanese semiconductor supply chain is poised to enter an age of discovery. Cao attended the Taiwan-Europe Semiconductor Forum on the 10th to discuss cooperation between Taiwan and the European Union in semiconductor research and development, talent cultivation, and supply chain integration. The collaboration in setting up a plant in Germany between TSMC, Bosch, and Infineon with experienced local managers is seen as an important reference model for the future internationalization of Taiwan's supply chain.
