TSMC's Vice President of Research and Development Yeh Chen-Hwa was selected as an academician of Academia Sinica, becoming the second TSMC personnel after Lin Benjian to receive this honor. Yeh mentioned that his greatest achievement is maintaining motivation over the years, fueled by interest and innovative thinking. He recalled facing losses after developing the Cowos packaging technology until the demand surged with the advent of Alpha Go in 2016 and generative AI in 2022, highlighting the importance of perseverance in innovation and enduring through setbacks.
