Turkish Restaurant Gas Can Explosion Kills 5, Injures 63

On June 30, 2024, at 7:35 PM, a gas explosion occurred in a restaurant in Izmir, western Turkey. The Turkish Minister of the Interior stated that the explosion, caused by a gas can, resulted in five deaths and at least 63 injuries of varying severity. Over a dozen rescue personnel have been dispatched to the scene for assistance.
