According to a report by a media outlet, Chinese state media has been monitoring political talk shows on a Taiwanese TV station, even being involved in topics, scripts, and directly monitoring the studio to ensure compliance with the Chinese Taiwan Affairs Office requirements. In response, former Democratic Progressive Party legislator Zheng Yunpeng stated that if a program wants to know his speech content before recording, he will withdraw from the program next time. This comes after Chinese reporters' involvement in topic selection and scriptwriting on a particular TV station to influence the narrative against the DPP government, leading to concerns over speech control and the need for autonomy in political commentary.
