Two Mainland Chinese Singers Absent from Golden Melody Awards Ceremony

Reported 12 months ago

Both mainland Chinese singers, Qiu De and Xu Jun, who were nominated for the title of Best Singer in Mandarin, unexpectedly did not attend the 35th Golden Melody Awards ceremony in Taiwan. Qiu De was nominated for 5 awards for his album 'Qiu De' but couldn't make it due to personal reasons, while Xu Jun, nominated for 7 awards for his album 'Collection of Expectations,' had work-related issues preventing his last-minute attendance. Qiu De's album featuring the popular song 'Color Blind,' a duet with singer Hsiao Chia-ying, received great acclaim, while Xu Jun's album reflects songs created during a period of self-reflection and doubt after his earlier success with 'Dream Company.'
