Two men in their 40s and 30s attempted a crossing in the mountains but encountered a tragedy in Nantou County on June 18. While trying to pass through the South Creek of Wanda, the older man was washed away by the water, and the younger man, attempting to rescue him, also ended up in the water. Unfortunately, the older man was found dead and retrieved by a helicopter, while the younger man sustained injuries to his leg and had to be rescued by firefighters. The incident serves as a reminder of the dangers of mountain terrain during rainy seasons.
