On June 14, 2024, at 7:47 am, Ye Yijun, Wu Yuya, and Chen Yingren reported on two police officers who successfully intercepted a man attempting to set fire to a police station. The key to thwarting the arsonist was the quick actions of the officers who had just finished their patrol. They noticed a man sitting suspiciously on a motorcycle from a distance. One officer kept a safe distance and engaged the suspect while the other ran to the station for backup. Within a minute, they swiftly apprehended the man with his hands up, later identified as a 50-year-old suspect intending to set the station on fire with gasoline. The quick thinking of the officers prevented a potential disaster.
