Two-Time Robber with Power Drill Caught by Sharp-eyed Police

In an exclusive report on June 26, 2024, at 2:18 am, journalist Zhang Shi Yi / Comprehensive report, the Zhongzheng First Police Precinct received a report from a store claiming their coin exchange machine was damaged and cash stolen. After reviewing surveillance footage, the police identified a man targeting an unmanned game store who robbed it twice in the dead of night. The suspect, Wu, was apprehended and charged with aggravated theft, as he had damaged machines using a power drill and later broke into the coin machine with a crowbar, stealing around NT$10,000 and game tokens. Wu tried to disguise himself during the robberies, but the police managed to identify him through surveillance footage comparison, leading to his arrest and prosecution by the Taipei District Prosecutors Office.
