Typhoon Season Approaching! Experts Reveal Time Frame for Favorable Cyclone Formation Environment Significantly Appears After July 26th

Reported 8 months ago

As summer solstice approaches, marking the end of the rainy season and the onset of more typhoons and unbearable heat, meteorologist Jia Xinxing predicts that the environment favorable for typhoon formation will become more evident after July 26th, with a higher chance of typhoon development in early August. From today to next Sunday, a lingering front will hover over the East China Sea to the Yangtze River Basin, bringing sunny and hot weather to Taiwan, with afternoon convective developments in mountainous areas spreading northwards, possibly causing localized showers or thunderstorms in adjacent mountain and northern areas. The latest European model simulation shows a 60% chance of a tropical disturbance in the South China Sea developing into a 'tropical depression' by 8 PM on the 25th, with a 10% chance of developing into a tropical storm, moving northwest towards Hainan Island and Guangdong, posing no threat to Taiwan. Jia suggests that the favorable environment for typhoon formation will become more apparent after July 26th.
