A recent study predicts an increase in activist investment campaigns in Europe, led by U.S. firms looking to take advantage of low market valuations. In 2024, 35% of these campaigns were initiated by American funds, marking a rise from 27% the previous year. With Germany, the UK, Switzerland, and Benelux identified as key targets, the report indicates that over 140 companies in Europe may face activist pressures in the coming 18 months.
