The U.S. House of Representatives has approved the Biosecure Act, which seeks to restrict business dealings with several Chinese biotech companies, including WuXi AppTec and BGI, on national security grounds. The bill, which passed with a vote of 306 to 81, aims to protect American health and genetic data, as well as U.S. pharmaceutical supply chains.
