U.S. Investigates Over 110,000 Ford SUVs for Seat Belt Issues

Reported 2 months ago

The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has launched an investigation into approximately 112,567 Ford SUVs due to concerns about seat belt retractor pretensioners that may deploy unexpectedly. This follows three complaints regarding a loud noise and the rapid tightening of seat belts, which then lock. Ford is cooperating with the investigation affecting the 2019-2020 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator models. Additionally, the NHTSA is investigating another 456,565 Ford vehicles for separate issues related to power loss and electrical failures.
