Uber and Lyft have agreed to a settlement in Massachusetts that will require them to pay drivers a minimum standard of $32.50 per hour, along with benefits and protections such as paid sick leave, occupational accident insurance, and health care stipends. The companies will also pay a combined $175 million to the state to resolve allegations of violating wage and hour laws, ensuring fair pay and working conditions for drivers.
