Reported 12 months ago

During a recent interview on June 30, 2024, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot confirmed that the company is working on remakes of the 'Assassin's Creed' series using modern technology to reinterpret the compelling storylines of the old games. The remakes will be launched starting from November 15 of this year with a setting in the late Sengoku period, following controversies around the portrayal of the black character 'Mijikai' in 'Assassin's Creed: Shadow.' Guillemot also mentioned that they aim to release 'Assassin's Creed' series more frequently, offering different gameplay experiences for players. While specific details were not disclosed, the remakes are expected to feature redesigned gameplay using modern technology to allow players to rediscover the series' storytelling. Ubisoft is also planning to expand the series through the 'Assassin's Creed Universe' concept and provide tailored gameplay experiences on different platforms to attract more players. Additionally, they are set to launch the 'Animus Hub' service platform, letting players start and play 'Assassin's Creed: Shadow' on its release day as a means to integrate more games in the series in the future.
