One person has died from an E. coli outbreak in the United Kingdom, with at least 275 people affected and 122 hospitalized. The outbreak, linked to lettuce in pre-packaged sandwiches, was confirmed by the U.K. Health Security Agency. Most individuals experienced bloody diarrhea, and two deaths were reported in May, with one likely linked to the infection. Companies issued voluntary recalls of sandwiches, wraps, and salads, and new cases have declined as the investigation continues.
