The yield on the UK’s 30-year inflation-linked bonds has increased to 2%, marking the highest level since the market crisis of late 2022. This rise is part of a broader trend amid a global bond selloff, driven by ongoing inflation pressures that suggest policymakers may slow down interest rate cuts. Additionally, the overall gilt yields also reached multi-year highs, with the 30-year yield hitting 5.28%, the highest since 1998.
