The first Ukraine Peace Summit held over the weekend in Switzerland with over 90 countries participating, but Russia was absent. US think tank scholars believe the summit's tangible outcome may draw attention to the 'unrealistic' nature of Ukraine's peace plan. The agenda has been reduced to discussing limited measures aimed at softening the war rather than ending it, with only three of the 10 proposed Ukrainian peace plan items up for formal discussion. The summit aims to address issues like nuclear and food security, as well as the return of abducted children, as most non-Western participants are willing to discuss these topics.
