Ukraine plans to import large volumes of U.S. liquefied natural gas (LNG) this year to meet its increasing gas needs due to damage from Russian assaults on its infrastructure. State gas operator officials indicated that imports via terminals in Germany, Greece, Lithuania, and Poland could reach at least 4 billion cubic meters. This strategic move not only aims to secure energy supplies but also potentially strengthens economic ties with the U.S. as Ukraine battles adversities in the ongoing conflict.
