On June 30th, the 'Youth Special Operation' in Kaohsiung commenced with 626 police forces involved. A joint inspection team coordinated by the police and the city government targeted large KTVs and dance halls for comprehensive inspections, including the deployment of drug-sniffing dogs. Over 17 substations and divisions participated in this operation that covered checking of entertainment venues for drug-related activities, resulting in arrests for various offenses including fraud and public disturbances. The initiative also focused on preventing underage drinking and driving, with notable results after the first day of operation.
