Underground Intermediary Sending Taiwanese Women to China for Egg Donation, with Nutrition Fee up to 320,000 NT Dollars!

Reported 8 months ago

As summer vacation approaches, reports have emerged about underground intermediaries targeting Taiwanese female college students to fly to China for egg donation, with nutrition fees reaching as high as 320,000 NT dollars, around three times higher than in Taiwan. While some students are enticed by the offer, domestic medical professionals warn of the risks of illegal procedures, potential genetic diseases, and ethical issues. Despite the higher compensation, donating eggs in China poses significant dangers. The selection process favors Taiwanese women but still has strict criteria based on education, height, age, appearance, and talents, with potential donors being required to pass written assessments, video interviews, and medical examinations before the procedure, which takes about two weeks.
