The cause of the outage is still under investigation by Taipower. Despite Taipower ensuring a smooth power supply for July, the outage occurred on the first day. Following a cable fault at 4:41 p.m., 512 households in the Yongzhen Road section of Toufen lost power. Repair work was done, with 87 households restored by 5:16 p.m. and the remaining households expected to be restored soon.
