Leofoo Village's theme park in Hsinchu had a wildlife area in the 1970s where visitors could drive through the park to see animals, becoming a cherished childhood memory for many. Photos shared by the Facebook page 'BuzzHand' show the wild animals like giraffes, baboons, and elephants right next to the cars, with some visitors recalling incidents of monkeys damaging their cars by removing parts. Despite the nostalgia, a tragic incident involving a tiger attack on a young girl in 1981 led to the prohibition of visitors driving into the animal area. Leofoo Village celebrated its 45th anniversary by organizing a 'Safari Drive-Thru' from April 3rd to 7th, allowing families to create new memories with their children by observing herbivores up close in a wildlife park.
