In the wake of suffering five consecutive losses, the Uni-President Lions baseball team underwent a major coaching staff shakeup. After evaluating various shortcomings, the team decided to adjust its coaching staff, with Lo Chin-lung, the former first-team pitching coach, being reassigned as the first-team bullpen coach. The first-team pitching coach position was taken over by Cheng Po-jen, while the former bullpen coach Lai Po-kai was reassigned as the second-team pitching coach.
