A minor collision occurred in Taichung's Beitun District on June 18th when a 26-year-old woman surnamed Li swerved to avoid a Shiba Inu running a red light, hitting a car in the adjacent lane. The dog and a 40-year-old man surnamed Zeng who seemed to be the dog's owner both fled the scene, leading to fines imposed by the authorities. It was discovered through CCTV footage that the dog was wearing a collar and likely had an owner. Zeng confessed to walking the Shiba Inu without a leash, causing the incident. Police reminded the public to report accidents even without visible collisions and cautioned pet owners to be vigilant to prevent similar incidents.
