The latest statistics released by the Ministry of Labor showed a decrease in the number of people on reduced work hours, with 4,685 people currently implemented, a reduction of 653 people compared to the previous period. A rubber product manufacturer terminated the reduced work hours for nearly 600 employees in advance due to stabilized orders, marking the lowest number of people on reduced work hours in 3 years. The statistics also revealed that the manufacturing sector saw a significant decrease in the number of people under the program, with the most significant implementation in Taichung City and challenges in other regions like Hualien due to post-earthquake effects and unfavorable weather conditions.
