In the Legislative Yuan's Internal Affairs Committee, a conflict erupted between the blue and green parties during the continued preliminary review of amendments to some articles of the Recall Law today. DPP legislator Wu Szu-yao accused the committee convener Kao Chin Su-mei of 'taking hostages,' alleging that staff members didn't show up until 7:59 AM after being 'summoned' to Kao's office. Both the KMT and DPP party caucuses issued top-level mobilizations, demanding all legislators to be present. Physical altercations even occurred, as DPP legislator Lin Chu-yin alleged being punched by KMT legislator Wang Hung-wei. This extraordinary situation led to disputes and tensions, with Wu publicly questioning the actions as a form of 'taking hostages.'
