In Kaohsiung along Haeundae 2nd Road, a long deep ditch appeared during road construction on the motorcycle lane, without sufficient safety measures and the absence of iron plates. Beginning on the 12th, at least 3 riders were injured, with some falling due to avoiding potholes resulting in tire bursts. The Public Works Bureau has since installed iron plates and increased personnel for traffic control. Construction was part of Kaohsiung Harbor Intercontinental Container Center's dedicated lane project, causing traffic reduction and public complaints about poor safety markings and management.
