As of midday, Yunlin County's Dou Nan Town recorded the highest temperature of 38.4 degrees Celsius in Taiwan. Former Central Weather Bureau Director Cheng Mingdian pointed out that the sea temperature around Taiwan is 2 to 3 degrees higher than normal, leading to a malfunction of sea breeze regulation and abnormally hot weather due to a strong Pacific high pressure zone. The Central Weather Bureau issued high temperature warnings for 16 cities and counties, with Taipei City having a heat index of 43 degrees Celsius, cautioning about extreme temperatures and calling for increased attention in various areas.
