Chen Ting-fei was expelled from the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) for registering to run for central committee positions without following the team's decision. The internal turmoil within the DPP escalated as Chen insisted on running for central committee posts independently, leading to her dismissal. She expressed her commitment to the party's principles and goals, emphasizing the need for unity to advance Taiwan's interests. Additionally, DPP Taipei City Councilor Chen Yi-chun and DPP Taichung City Councilor Ho Wen-hai were also expelled for similar reasons. The DPP stated that the three members' actions went against the party's decisions, ultimately resulting in their removal from the party.
