Media personality Huang Yangming questioned the effectiveness of upgrading the travel warning status when group tours to China are already prohibited, suggesting it seems more like a scare tactic by the Mainland Affairs Council. He emphasized the disparity between Taiwan's travel warning response and the mainland's criminal pursuit approach, characterizing it as self-indulgence and lacking practical significance, ultimately leaving Taiwanese citizens to fend for themselves.
