In Da'an District, Taipei City, on the morning of June 7, 2024, at 7:46 am, a tree suddenly collapsed and crushed a white BMW in motion on Siwei Road, Lane 154. The driver and 2 passengers were trapped inside and unable to move. Police and firefighters arrived promptly, rescued the 3 individuals successfully with no injuries, all conscious. Taipei Metro faced a scare as security subdued an out-of-control man, and a construction next door caused a wall to collapse, leading tenants to accuse contractors of not repairing promptly.
