On July 3, 2024, The Youth Daily reported that the US Department of Commerce added 6 companies to its trade restriction list, with 4 of them suspected of providing military training to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), violating US foreign policy and interests, and posing risks to national security. Among the newly listed companies, 2 are in Hong Kong, 2 in the United Arab Emirates, 1 in South Africa, and 1 based in the UK, with 4 of them having ties to the South African Test Flight Academy and the CCP, leading to their inclusion on the trade restriction list. The US aims to prevent Western technology from strengthening China's military capabilities to enhance US national security.
