US and South Korea Finalize Major Trade Deal with Lower Tariffs and Investments

US President Donald Trump and South Korean President Lee Jae Myung have finalized a significant trade agreement that includes $150 billion in shipbuilding investments from South Korea and a reduction of tariffs on Korean goods to 15%. The deal, aimed at boosting economic cooperation, will also allow South Korea to invest over $600 billion in the US and includes provisions for the construction of nuclear-powered submarines. The agreement is set to run through January 2029 and is designed to stabilize markets and enhance bilateral trade relations.
