According to sources, two Deputy Assistant Secretaries of State from the US visited Taiwan and met with Foreign Minister Joseph Wu to discuss countering China's use of UN Resolution 2758 to marginalize Taiwan. The US and Taiwan aim to strengthen cooperation to help Taiwan participate in international organizations and to counter China's efforts to restrict Taiwan's international space. Both sides discussed meaningful participation in UN bodies like the WHO and ICAO, expressing continued support and commitment to expanding international support and making progress. The meeting highlighted the importance of taking proactive measures against China's aggressive stance.
