The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) of the Pentagon announced in early June that starting this October, the US will conduct two missile interception tests and tracking exercises annually in Guam as part of a 10-year missile defense system integration plan. These exercises aim to boost defense capabilities against various ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and hypersonic weapons threats. The US military will integrate land-based, sea-based, and air-based weapons, sensors, communication systems, and command systems, and conduct up to two target tracking and missile interception tests in Guam each year, to verify the base's missile interception capabilities.
