The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating a Southwest Airlines flight that descended to a low altitude near Oklahoma City. The incident involving Flight 4069, which departed from Las Vegas, occurred 9 miles from the airport. Southwest Airlines stated that they are cooperating with the FAA to address any irregularities in the aircraft's approach. This investigation comes after multiple recent incidents involving Southwest Airlines flights, including one caused by a problematic maneuver during a flight in April and a near-incident off the coast of Hawaii in April.
