According to a report by Breaking Defense on July 3, 2024, the US Air Force has allowed the CV-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft at Japan's Yokota Base to resume operations, following the footsteps of the US Navy and Marine Corps, to support various training and logistical missions. The Yokota Base stated that their Osprey resumed flight operations on the 2nd, and despite challenges from a previous accident in November, the US military aims to have over 400 Ospreys fully operational by mid-2025.
