The U.S. Department of Labor has filed a complaint to prevent Hyundai and two other companies in Alabama from the alleged illegal employment of children, following an investigation that found a 13-year-old working long hours on an assembly line. The defendants include Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama LLC, SMART Alabama LLC, and Best Practice Service, LLC. The lawsuit aims to stop child labor and make the companies forfeit profits related to the practice, with Hyundai stating they will vigorously defend against the allegations.
