US lawmakers have urged the US Department of Homeland Security to ban the export of goods by Chinese electric car battery manufacturers Ningo Times and Guoxuan High-Tech, who have partnerships with Ford and Volkswagen, respectively, due to alleged forced labor within their supply chains. Despite denials from the companies, US Congressional leaders have raised concerns over the connection between these Chinese firms' supply chains and forced labor, calling for their inclusion in the 'Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act' entity list.
