US automakers experienced a slowdown in new-vehicle sales growth for the second quarter as a cyberattack on CDK impacted operations at various dealerships during late June. General Motors reported a 0.6% increase in sales, down from last year's 19% rise, while Toyota's sales only increased by approximately 9%, lower than last year's 20% surge. Overall U.S. new-vehicle sales volume for Q2 was estimated to grow by 1% to nearly 4.2 million units, compared to the 16% growth in 2023. Analysts expect sales to recover in July despite the cyberattack's disruption.
